JSIsaac Studio ("we", "us", "our") is a web design and software engineering studio based in Hull, England. This page explains what personal data we collect through this website, why, how it's stored, and the rights you have over it. We keep this deliberately short because we only collect what we actually need to respond to your enquiry.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies. We don't run Google Analytics, ad pixels, or any third-party tracking script. Browsing jsisaac.com does not set any cookie on your device.

When you first visit, you'll see a banner asking you to accept or decline cookies. Because we don't currently use any optional (non-essential) cookies, your choice has no effect on the site today — there's simply nothing to switch on or off yet. This banner exists so your preference is already recorded and respected if we ever add an optional cookie in future (e.g. analytics), without needing to ask again. You can change your choice anytime via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.

Strictly necessary storage (always on, exempt from consent): a small local storage entry on the enquiry form used only to slow down repeat automated submissions from the same browser, and — on our staff-only /admin dashboard — local storage that keeps a logged-in team member's session active. Neither is a tracking cookie, neither is accessible to other visitors, and neither is used to identify or profile you.

What we collect and why

We only collect personal data when you voluntarily submit our "Enquire now" form. We do not track, profile, or collect data from visitors who don't submit the form.

Legal basis for processing

Consent — by ticking the checkbox and submitting the form, you consent to us processing this data to respond to you.
Legitimate interest — responding to a business enquiry you initiated, and keeping the form secure from abuse.

Where your data is stored

Enquiry data is stored in a Supabase database hosted in the EU (Ireland). The website itself is hosted by Vercel. Both are our data processors and only process data on our instructions. Neither is used for advertising or sold to third parties. We do not share your data with any other third party.

Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
The enquiry form is insert-only from the public website — nobody can read, edit, or browse other people's submissions from the public site.
Only we can view submitted enquiries, via a password-protected admin page restricted to one authorised account.
The form is rate-limited (broadly, one enquiry per person per day) to prevent automated spam and abuse.

How long we keep it

We retain enquiry data for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and maintain a record of business correspondence, and delete it sooner on request.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

Ask what personal data we hold about you
Ask us to correct inaccurate data
Ask us to delete your data
Withdraw consent at any time
Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe your data has been mishandled

Changes to this policy

If our data practices change, we'll update this page and revise the date at the top.
